The charts illustrate the expenditure on fast food by earning level group in pence per person per week and consumption of fast food in grammes between 1970 to 1990 in Britain. Overall it can be seen that fish and chips are the most popular for people under average level income and the highest proportion that people consume in the beginning of the period. On the other hand Hamburger is extremely trend of rich people and average income and the highest consumption on the end of period.
At first glance it is evident, with the exception of the bar chart, people with the high income spend less money to buy fish and chips than hamburger and pizza. In contrast, people who earn money under average income are more likely to purchase fish and chips. Whilst rich people spend their money about 45 pence per week to buy hamburger, poor person only spend some 15 pence per week. It means people with the high salaries spend money three times as much as poor people to buy hamburger. People tend to spend less money to buy pizza in average and low level income.
Turning to the graph line, in 1990, the most popular on fast food consumption was fish and chips approximately 200 grammes, while hamburger and pizza only be consumed below 100 grammes. However, there was an increase in the amount of fast food consumption of pizza and hamburger over the period. On the other hand, from 1970 to 1990 witnessed a dramatic fall in fish and chips consumption.
