IETLS; Social media and its impact on my life

During the last few years, there has been a tremendous improvement in the technological advances that revolutionized the practice of work and societal outcomes. To-date there has been a billion active users of well known social network websites for instance facebook. This alone highlights the impact of social media via high speed digital system or physical network on today's generation day to day life, especially the one that I belong. I think the importance of social media is getting more prevalent with each passing day and each social event has long-lasting effects on the behavioural aspects of everyone.

Before I got acquainted with online forums, I was hardly socializing with people and making more friends. My social life cycle was limited to my family members and by-and-large unaware of what was happening on the other side of the world. I was stringent about the thoughtfulness of other cultures and shy of being expressing myself in a group. This all change as soon as I become one of the users of these forums. These forums have provided me and other members a range of options to social with each other. Now it is up to each user to decide what type of community is better suited for him and for his society. This also helps to find like minded people and promotes the creative elements of humanity. For instance, several music composition forums are available that allow us to intermingle different culture and music experiences.

Given that the social media has a deep impact on my life, I am wondering how the social media will propagate its impact to next coming generation. I believe the next generation will be more concerned with their whereabouts and inter-connectivity of world. The platform will nurture their interaction comprehensively while significantly reduces the loneliness and isolation that to some extend still present in the current generation.
