Newspapers have a significant influence on people's ideas and opinions. Why is this happening? Is it a positive or negative situation?

Newspapers have a crucial impact on humans' thoughts and opinions. This is because people believe newspapers are credible. I argue that it is a negative development.

Newspapers are often perceived as a reliable source of information. Unlike other media, they have existed for centuries and are subject to scrutiny from watchdogs and governmental organizations. Journalists are carefully selected to professionally report accurate and up-to-date information to viewers. Moreover, certain sections of the news platform allow readers to voice their opinions. Based on daily news highlights, readers can make informed and even life-changing decisions, such as purchasing a new home when a favorable government policy is upcoming. In the event of misinformation in published news, reporters have to make a statement of apology and rectify their errors and typos.

Its long-lasting influence on people's mind is detrimental. While news content is rigorously verified, entities can use it to manipulate individuals, particularly those who are impressionable, for personal gain. Sponsored news articles often misleadingly reveal part of the story or incorporate sensational language to appeal to their audience. For example, a news company with a political stance over-emphasizes and exaggerates the scandals and misconduct of their opposition parties, leading to slow progress and even division in society. Dedicated writings with marketing strategies persuade consumers that certain products are good for them. For instance, fast food coupons found in newspaper pages encourage readers to indulge in unhealthy food. Over-reliance on news content can build undesirable life habits.

In summary, newspapers have a pivotal effect on readers' way of thinking and opinions, because they think newspapers can be trusted. This is a negative situation since the misuse of its power can result in negative behavior.

The essay shows a good thought process coming from you. You obviously brainstormed the content of the essay prior to writing it as can be seen by your use of learning center templates in your writing. While that is not bad, you should not get used to it because that could cause you to panic and not create a very good essay if the question you get during the test is not something you were prepared to respond to.

I would like to call your attention to your use of the subject - verb agreement and articles. You must familiarize yourself with the use of articles in the presentation so that you can avoid errors in your sentence writing. Pay particular attention to your use of plural words. You misused these several times in this essay.

Overall, this is a good start for a practice essay. You have the potential to build on your vocabulary, improve your sentence structures, and highlight your ability to think logically under pressure. It is quite possible that you can pass the test provided you continue to improve in your writing skills.
