(Paragraph 4, Wilson 2011) I agree with the author because censorship from the whole worldwide web will only be an inconvenience to the users because for some of them, the internet is a part of their jobs. The SOPA may serve as a solution to a problem but it will also create a new one which is the inconvenience to people and the business transactions that will be interrupted.I am one of the millions of people who are against SOPA. People should be given the freedom to share their pictures, videos and thoughts on the internet. When implemented, this bill can take away the freedom of the users. This bill can also harm online businesses by imprisoning the other legitimate online businessmen or businesswomen. Other than the SOPA, the Philippines also had a law under The Intellectual Property Rights and that is The Intellectual Property Code. The Intellectual Property Code states that the code shall protect and secure the exclusive rights of the rightful owners of the intellectual properties, especially when it is beneficial to the people. It is also said that it is the policy of the State to streamline administrative procedures and enhance the enforcement of intellectual property rights in the Philippines. Everyone definitely has a right to their own files and they should be protected if the owners, themselves, do not want their files to be copied. Some owners, however, intentionally share their files on the internet so that they will be known and this should not be considered as abiding the Intellectual Property Code because it is the owner's choice.

I think though, that the essay ends rather abruptly. It seems like there should be one more sentence added at the end.:)
