Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship between people ?

If you ask me about the most valuable quality in a person, my answer will definitely be: honesty. Honesty in itself compasses trust and integrity. It is easier to stay and relate with an honest person because there will never be instances of suspicion or fear. From my perspective, lying to anyone for any reason is not acceptible. No matter you are telling a white lie or an intentional one, once the truth is uncovered, someone must be hurt. As is known to all, honesty comes first in various relationships, such as marrige and friendship.

It is undeniable that the essential element of a successful marrige lies in the couples' faith in each other. A talking time always plays an important role in strenthening the marrige. in this time, a husband can tell his wife how he feels about her and the family, he can put it straight if there is something should be altered. for instance, if the cooking is not satisfactory, he shouldn't pretend to be enjoying it, otherwise, the complaint will be accumulated to an extent that as a consequence a serious arguing will break out someday. if you consider this is too slight to break up a family , you may be wrong. One investigation says that one of the top reasons for divorce is fighting for tiny little things. And situation could be even worse, if a husband has cheated on his wife , he may choose to hide the truth. but paper can never wrap up a fire. there is always one day that his wife will find out the affair and freak out. should the husband tell the truth honestly, there might be some chances to save the marrige.

Similar to marrige, friendship also needs honesty. As for me, I will be quite annoyed if my friends hide something from me, no matter what the reason is. I still remember when I was in high school, one of my best friends stood me up because she totally forgot the appointment. But she didn't have the courage to tell me the truth, so instead she told me a lie. When I found out the real reason, I felt so depressed, because I thought there would be no one worthy of trust any more. Even my best friend lied to me, not to mention those who I barely knew.

By and large, if one is brave enough to tell the truth, the whole world will forgive him. On the contrary, someone really matters in his life may walk away at last. l will always anticipate a world free from lies and full of love with confidence.
