Particularly, this will change the quality of water, which can lead to more serious impacts such as changing the local wildlife or even destroying the current creatures. More seriously, this can lead to the decline of the local economy because people who live with fishing career now cannot navigate to the sea any more. All these things seem to cast doubt on the claims made in the reading which backs up the view that tidal power has much positive influence on the environment such as providing renewable, environmental - friendly source of power for human beings
