*The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.*

The graph shows the worldwide usage of water in three different sections, Agriculture, industrial and domestic during the 100 years between 1900 and 2000.

In general, the use of water in agriculture had increased dramatically from about 500 km3 (1900) to 3000 km3 in 2000 with a noticeable fluctuation between 1965 and 1975.
On contrary, there was almost no use of water in industrial and domestic sector till 1950. However, the use of water had rose steadily to 1200km3 in industries and it had also increased to around 500km3 in domestic since 1950 but rather slowly.

The table provides the information about the usage of water in two countries, Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo during the year 2000.

According to the information,359m3 water had used by average person in Brazil which is a country of 176 million people and 26,500km2 irrigated land.
On the other hand, Democratic Republic of Congo, a rather small populated country with 100km2 irrigated land had consumed averagely 8m3.

In spite of large population, Brazil had used great quantity of water.
