Listening is one of the parts of communication. In general, almost people spend their time in communication for listening. Listening is the process making meaning from sound, process of extraction and essence. In other situation, listening have a patterns which is we can recognize, like someone in party situation. Culture, language, values and attitudes categorized as the filters from all noisy sound. So people recognize patterns to distinguish noise from signal. Listening is the access to understanding each other.Unfortunately, people retain just 25 percent of what they hear. This means that people becoming desensitized and it is becoming problem. When media using some kind of words like shock, scandal and sensation as their headline to get our attention.It is harder for us to pay attention. This is become serious problem if we losing our listening. The consequences is the world become very scary place.
