IELTS WRITTING TASK 1-The diagrams illustrate information about changes in a student accommodation

The diagrams below show information about differences in a student accommodation.

Especially the small garden in the north-east of the map has been demolished to build a student bedroom for accommodation and sleep purpose.

To begin with, the garden to the south of the plan has been knocked down to develop into a car parking. Go through the main entrance next which is on the side of the hallway, the student bedroom opposite the hallway has been expanded by building an En-suite room for student to change clothes. Walk follow the aisle, the kitchen in the south-west, has been developed by adding a social a[R][R][/R][/R]rea for entertainment purpose and improving communication skills for students.

Moving onto, the north of the accommodation, while the student room in the right has been remained unchanged, the living room next to it has been converted into a similar bedroom and the garden in the north-east of the map has been destroyed to build another bedroom. Besides, the huge garden on the north of the map has been extended by planting more grass. Whilst, the student room in the right of the accommodation with the another one and the living room in the center has been remained unchanged.

There are 2 errors in this phrase. The first, is that you mistakenly identified a map as a diagram. The second, is that you mentioned the position of the image on the paper, as if the reader can see the image. The reader cannot see the image which is why the writers are discouraged from referencing the position of the image in their summary overview.


This is a verb reference to the act of parking a car. Since you are referencing a noun, a place, then you should be referencing a car parking lot or a car park.


I am not exactly sure what you are trying to say here. It might make sense in your vernacular but when you translate to English word for word, it does not make sense. You have to practice thinking and writing in proper, simple English sentences using simple, everyday English words.
