Scholarship / The chosen courses to develop my current capability in systems development and business analysis [2]
Hi, I'm applying for Chevening Scholarship, i would like to get some advices and feedback regarding my Study Plan essay
Q: Outline why you have selected your chosen three university courses, and explain how this relates to your previous academic or professional experience and your plans for the future.
My work experience has prepared me to develop my current capabilities in consulting fields by exposing me to various problems in various industries. My academic background in ICT and Information Technology Institute (ITI) has given me a solid ground to go in deep through information technology fields like database, programming and automation development and the other fields related to computer science. My ultimate goal is becoming a solution architect in database and operating system in general. Therefore, I have chosen three MSc courses that directly link my education and professional background with hoping that these courses will help me filling my knowledge gap and guide me to my goals in automation and development.
My first choice is the Enterprise Systems and Database Administration (MSc) provided by University of Greenwich. This course is perfectly aligned with my purpose to unlock the key skills for learning all about to be a solution architect. They offered the courses of data warehousing, system administration and security, database architectures and administration, database tools, enterprise systems integration, user centered web engineering. It will also help me to acquire the project management skills necessary for IT consultancy and strategic decision making. Their practical projects are exciting for me since it will allow me to apply my knowledge by solving real-world problems.
As my second choice, Information Systems (MSc) at University of East Anglia UEA will broaden knowledge about systems development and business analysis and teach me the technical and social issues involved in building and maintaining large systems. These will give me additional skills to Managing, analyzing and understanding the huge volumes of data that these systems generate are critical to the success of many organizations. Moreover, I'm interested in business intelligence: the techniques and tools for evaluating, understanding and analyzing information systems and the data they generate.
The Applied Computing and Information Technology (MSc) from the University of Bedfordshire is my third choice. They are offering a wide range of topics including programming, databases, security, project management and computer networking, giving me both the underpinning theory and the ability to apply it to complex real-world problems, as well as an awareness of emerging technologies and developments. These learning experiences will help me to excel my performance as a professional leader to help in society problems and developing my country.
I hope that these three courses will help me to develop my current capability in systems development and business analysis, and it will allow me to contribute more in terms of improving the quality of businesses in various industries.
