Scholarship / AAS (Australia Awards Scholarship): Giving Practical Examples of the Knowledge [3]
Hi, my name is Chandra and I'm planning to enroll in AAS taking master degree in App. Linguistics and TESOL. This is my essay regarding to the question "Please: a) give up to three practical examples of how you intend to use the knowledge, skills and connections you will gain from your scholarship. Possible task can be personal and/or professionals; and b) list any possible constraints you think may prevent you from achieving these tasks." I know it's only up to 3 examples. I just figured out and planning to join par 1 and 2 together since they have almost the same purpose. All the review and feedbacks will be highly appreciated. If you want to know about my program, you may visit archipediabasecamp.com

The knowledge that I gain from the study that I take would be useful to improve my English program that I have been working on, Archipedia Basecamp. Although I have already designed and tested the syllabi to the students, after conducting the activities, I consider that I need to improve my program to suit the student needs according to their grades. In order to be able to meet the criteria of the program and to provide much better creative English learning materials and activities, deeper understanding towards Teaching English as a Foreign Language is needed.
Moreover, through the study, I will be able to enrich my teaching skill especially in English. In education, teaching skill is essential which I would get from joining this program. Being able to figure out student's characteristics and the most appropriate method will be very useful in delivering the knowledge to the students to improve the education level in Indonesia. The skill will also be useful to be applied in Archipedia since Archipedia aims in creative activities and innovative learning of English.
My Future plan includes teaching as a lecturer in the university majoring in English education or TEFL which the knowledge and skill that I've gain will most likely be needed. I was quite inspired by the lesson given by the lecturer but in the other hand, only a few of students interested in English teaching field. Thus, there are quite few students to continue their career as English teachers. Aside from the economic reason, teaching is overlooked as a dead end career. By giving motivation and new insight to the students towards what they are missing and why English teachers are needed in development of a country might be able to gain a new spirit in English teaching qualitatively and quantitatively.
Since one of the aims of joining the program is to develop my skill in English teaching to be able to perfect my English learning program in order to give revolution in English teaching in Indonesia, Archipedia benefits to both of schools and volunteers overseas. This program is not only for the development of Indonesian education but also to bring an experience to interact with the locals and to know Indonesia more to the volunteers. The connection that I gain from this program will be useful to run my program to be known for foreign students all around the world. In other words, the connections gained from following this scholarship program will be very useful and needed in program implementation.
