Undergraduate / GTE to Australia study abroad [2]
Dear Sir/Madam,
I, Duyen Bui, am a 28-year-old individual from the province of Binh Phuoc in Vietnam. Our family, initially comprising eight members, experienced a loss when my mother passed away in 2020. Currently, seven of us, including my dad, brother, sister-in-law, two nieces, my husband, my son and I, live together, and we are involved in a family business specialising in wood construction and interior design. In 2011, I graduated from Tran Quoc Tuan High School. After 4 years, I graduated from the Industrial University Ho Chi Minh City in 2015, earning a BA degree in Finance and Banking with a "Good" classification. Now I'm a Human Resources and Warehousing Manager at Thuan Hung CO., LTD, Vietnam. Motivated by a desire to follow my passion and contribute to the company I'm working for in Vietnam, I have made the decision to pursue further education in Australia. I am delighted to share that my husband and son will accompany me on this educational journey, providing invaluable support and enriching our collective experience.
Throughout my academic journey in Vietnam, I won the top prize in the talented MC contest at the Industrial University in 2014 and received recognition for Excellent Management in 2015. Later, I worked at Sacombank for 6 years from 2015 to 2020 and was honoured as an Excellent Specialist in 2018, showing my skills in Finance and Banking. These roles not only earned me accolades but also provided invaluable lessons in effective leadership and communication, essential qualities for success in any academic or professional pursuit. Also, I took the PTE Academic exam on November 3, 2023, and got a score of 58, proving my dedication to doing well in my studies and language skills. I believe that all these practical skills and good academic knowledge will prepare me for my educational journey in Australia.
Australia stands out as my preferred destination for various reasons. The country boasts high-quality education with internationally recognised qualifications. The Australian government and educational institutions provide substantial support for international students, including scholarships and conducive study environments. Moreover, the prospect of abundant job opportunities post-graduation and the chance to learn from the diverse cultural landscape of Australia are other important factors for me to choose this destination. After gathering information through social networking sites like Facebook, and Twitter, Adelaide in South Australia is my ideal study location. One key advantage when choosing Adelaide is the affordable cost of living, making it possible for me to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle without financial strain compared to cities like Sydney or Melbourne. Importantly, Adelaide's robust economy, driven by sectors like healthcare, education, and technology, promises an appropriate environment for my family to reside temporarily while I study abroad.
After having researched several colleges in Adelaide and taking advice from my family and an education agent, I decided to choose Kaplan Business School Australia (KBS) over other institutions for various factors. The institution commits to a high-quality education, with postgraduate students rating the Quality of the Entire Educational Experience higher than every public university in Australia. Additionally, KBS's globally recognized MBA (Master of Business Administration) program, known for its innovative and future-focused content delivery, aligns perfectly with my aspirations. The assurance of a Lifetime of Learning Guarantee and attentive support for student support, along with world-leading career services further solidify KBS as my preferred choice for pursuing higher education abroad.
Choosing the Master of Business Administration at KBS is a strategic move that came from my aspirations and practical considerations. This program perfectly fits my goal of working in strategic management. I graduated in Finance and Banking, have nearly 6 years of experience in the Banking field and more than 3 years in Human Resources Management at an enterprise. The subjects of this MBA course, like "People, Culture and Contemporary Leadership" and "Governance, Ethics and Sustainability," align with my Human Resources and Banking background. They provide an understanding of contemporary leadership, emphasising practical applications across various domains. Also, they equip me to design governance frameworks, assess risk, and comprehend corporate sustainability focusing on ethical organisational cultures.
Besides, the Financial and Economic Interpretation and Communication subject provided me with financial and economic interpretation skills essential for business operations. Moreover, the "MBA Capstone: Strategy" course connects all the pieces, providing me with practical tools for real-world situations. This blend of coursework and my real-life experiences is crucial for shaping my abilities, ensuring I'm well-equipped for my career journey back in Vietnam. Therefore, I believe this course can help me a lot in upgrading my knowledge and skills in Business and Human Resources Management for my company in the future.
Understanding the financial commitments associated with studying abroad, I am well-prepared. I own five savings books in Vietnam, totalling more than 2 billion VND (around 134,700 AUD). Additionally, my husband also holds savings books with a combined value of approximately 65,000 AUD, further supporting me during my study in Australia. To optimise living expenses during my study in Australia, I plan to stay either in the school dormitory or a rented house near the school, ensuring that I make the most of the available facilities.
Post-graduation, I foresee two potential directions. If my passion for research and further studies persists, I aim to continue studying to gain more in-depth knowledge while working online with my company in Vietnam. Alternatively, if the company in Vietnam has different plans, I am fully prepared to return and contribute directly to its growth. In case of a change in the enterprise, getting a Job Offer Letter from the new one is part of my plan. Considering the challenges of COVID-19 in Vietnam's job market, I know it's tough. But by 2023, things are getting better, and there are more job chances, especially for well-qualified people. With my Australian qualification, I think it'll be easier to find a job outside Australia. I expect my monthly salary to be 50 million VND (around 3,125 AUD) after I finish my education in Australia. That's more than what I'd earn with a degree in Vietnam.
In short, I want to emphasise the sincerity of my intent. Going to Australia for education isn't just about me; it's a big effort to help my family, grow professionally, and contribute to the community. I understand that I must be a full-time student at a college or university to remain eligible for the student visa. I also understand that I must meet the course progress with the required attendance. I declare that I am a genuine temporary entrant and a genuine student.
Thank you for considering my application. I am looking forward to a positive response from you.
