She had no way to reach larger markets, no training in pricing or promotion, and no mentor to guide her. This story is not unique it represents the everyday struggle of many women and youth in indigenous communities like mine. That memory drives me to seek the tools and knowledge to help rewrite that story for her, and for thousands like her. So applying for the DAAD program is not just an academic pursuit, it is the next step in a lifelong mission to uplift underserved communities through inclusive, sustainable entrepreneurship.
I am Deepa, a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) graduate and the first person in my family to complete university. Coming from an indigenous background in a developing country, I have experienced structural barriers firsthand. Nepal is so diverse-what works in a busy city might not work at all in a remote village. My dream is to focus on uplifting people from marginalized and rural communities like mine, so they, too, can become financially independent and play a real role in the growth of our country.
Additionally, Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics program (Second Choice) at HfT Stuttgart will allow me to leverage spatial data crucial for logistics, infrastructure, and location planning in Nepal's regions. I am particularly interested in how location-based intelligence can guide small businesses in areas such as product placement, inventory management, and delivery logistics in difficult terrains. Most entrepreneurs in Nepal lack access to the geospatial data and tools that could help them make smarter, more efficient decisions. I aim to offer localized entrepreneurship support, GIS consulting, and practical education for young entrepreneur of marginalized community in remote region.
I believe the DAAD program reflects values I hold deeply sustainable development, international cooperation, and education as a driver of equity.
