The tables illustrate how many exchange students from universities in Europe to Australia and Australia to Europe in two years 2007 and 2009 in 5 nations.
Overall, while the total number of exchange students from Europe increased dramatically, that of from Australia remained stable over the year. And France had the highest number of students attending to exchange programme in the survey.
In the left table, in 2007, the number of students from France was 61, which was nearly twice as much as that of Sweden, The UK with 32 and 31 respectively. In 2009, the number of exchange students from France to Australia was 60, compared to that of Swenden was 43. The number of German students engaged in exchange programme was 27 in 2007, which was the lowest number in the survey, however, in 2009 this figure was 63, holding the first rank in 5 nations in Europe. The number of students taking part in the exchange programme from The Netherland to Australia remained unchanged in both years 2007 and 2009 with 36.
In the right table, in 2007, the numbers of students from France and Germany were 37 and 18, these figures rose significantly in 2009 with 58 and 26 correspondingly.
