Letters / Financial specialization -Motivation letter for Stipendium Hungaricum about trying to achieve a goal [3]

Hello there! I would like to get some feedback on my essay, I want to know how I should improve my motivation letter. Thanks in advance!

I am writing this letter to express my eligibility for attaining a Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship to support my dream of studying the financial specialization program at a Hungarian university. This scholarship will upgrade my already decent knowledges in finance that can help me to boost my country's economy.

My path in finance was not predetermined from the beginning. I could not choose what I want to study even after school, so my choosing of finance as a studying course was completely accidental. I was thinking this way even during my 1st course, but everything changed since the moment I took a subject called Corporate Finance to study. I met my favorite professor Asylbek Duskaliyev that changed all my vision on finance. His teaching skills made me so enthusiastic and inspired on how he can so simply explain all finance stuff like finance reporting, ESG principles, investing, and many other things. After the course with him I understood that I need to know more and more about everything that includes finance, and get to know as much experience in area of finance as possible.

At present, I am studying in 4th course, and also, I have completed 2 internships: first internship has been completed in Tele2/Altel company in an accounting department, the second one has been completed in Home Credit Bank in treasury department. I have discovered how important can be financial management in such big international companies, however our small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan lack of quality financial management. I aim for education in Hungarian university to help businesses in Kazakhstan with financial management and corporate finance by financial consulting. However, I need to deepen my financial knowledges in financial management and corporate, so I have decided to pursue corporate finance at Hungarian University. I have discovered Stipendium Hungaricum so as not to push my parents with money.

The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship represents a remarkable opportunity. It would not only provide an essential support for my academical and personal pursuits, but also allow me to immerse myself in Hungary's vibrant culture throughout my studies. The prospect of living in a country with such a rich history and cultural heritage is incredibly exciting and promises to be a transformative experience. Considering the high standards of its academic institutions, I am convinced that Hungary is the ideal environment for me to achieve my goals.

Letters / Master's in Finance in Hungary - Stipendium Hungaricum [3]

Hello there, I am writing a motivational letter for Stipendium Hungaricum and I would like to get some feedback on this essay. Thanks in advance!

Dear Admissions Committee,

I am writing to express my motivation to pursue a Master's degree in Finance at your esteemed institution under the Stipendium Hungaricum programme. My academic background, combined with practical experience in accounting and treasury, has revealed to me both the importance and the shortcomings of financial management in Kazakhstan. These experiences inspired me to deepen my knowledge of corporate finance and apply it to address urgent development challenges in my country.

Globally, building resilient and transparent financial systems is one of the most pressing challenges for inclusive growth and for protecting economies from shocks. At the national level, Kazakhstan faces a shortage of qualified professionals in financial management and corporate finance. This gap limits the competitiveness of local businesses, slows economic diversification, and prevents many small and medium-sized enterprises from realising their potential. I encountered these issues first-hand during internships at Tele2/Altel in the accounting department and at Home Credit Bank in the treasury department. While I learned how vital effective financial decision-making is for international companies, I also saw how many Kazakh firms still lack such expertise.

Hungary is the ideal environment to continue my studies. Hungarian universities are well known for providing education that meets European standards while placing emphasis on practice-oriented learning. This balance between theory and application strongly appeals to me, as I want to acquire advanced expertise in investment analysis, corporate governance, and risk management, while also gaining the ability to apply these tools to real-life cases. I also value Hungary's role in Central Europe as a country that blends strong academic traditions with openness to international students.

My career goal is to establish a financial consulting company that will support small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan. By offering guidance in corporate finance, I aim to help them implement transparent practices, attract investment, and grow sustainably. In this way, the knowledge I gain in Hungary will not only enhance my professional development but will also be reinvested into strengthening institutional capacity and aligning Kazakhstan more closely with global financial standards.

I am aware that studying abroad will bring challenges. I expect psychological pressure from living away from my family and the difficulty of adjusting to a new academic and cultural environment. Another obstacle will be the language barrier, especially outside the classroom. However, I consider these challenges as opportunities for growth. I have already begun improving my English proficiency and started learning Hungarian, and I believe that my resilience, adaptability, and motivation will allow me to overcome these difficulties.

In conclusion, I believe that a Master's in Finance in Hungary will provide me with the necessary academic training, practical tools, and international exposure to become a specialist capable of supporting economic transformation in Kazakhstan. By combining the rigorous education offered in Hungary with my determination to return home and contribute, I am confident that I can make a meaningful impact on the sustainable development of my country.

Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,
