Book Reports / A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS VS THE COLOR PURPLE - comparative essay exam [4]

I read the books, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and The Color Purple by Alice Walker.
I have to write a comparative essay for my exam. Its due on Monday so in about 5 days.
I'm not sure what to write about so I'm completely stressed out.
I need a strong thesis! This essay must be brilliant because i need this English mark to be high so i can get into university!

In both books, women face gender inequality and abuse by their husbands. (physical, sexual and verbal abuse) but the women gain strength through these horrid experiences.

I want to write something on how their challenges such as; sexism and the abuse led by it causes them to gain inner strength.
