Undergraduate / "nervous about starting college" - the biggest challenge as a freshman? Overcome it? [3]

This prompt is for a summer insitite propgram at my university that i'm applying. All sorts of comments, good or bad please! thank you :)

Being nervous about starting college is probably the most normal thing I can do at
the moment. Lately, all I can do is worry about if I will get along with my roommate, if I
will be able to cut it academically, financial concerns, being on my own for the first
time, and just more constant anguish. I'm leaving home for the first time and going to a
university where I don't know a single soul, learning to be independent, and balancing
my college life towards the proper path. But I plan on overcoming all of these fears and
obstacles.
Attending St. Thomas is basically a fresh start for me and it's pretty much like
the first day of school, but for my whole life. I don't want to be the socially-awkward girl
that's always in the library with a book in front, but I also can't afford to be social
all the time and let my work slip. It's the point where I learn to grow up. I'll be making
schedules to manage my time and to prioritize between studying and hanging out the new
friends I made by joining several clubs and interacting; not going out drinking late;
spending weeknights doing my work instead of going out to eat with friends constantly;
trying to balance my spending so I don't end up in a lot of debt by living in between
loans like some people who live between paychecks; and finally living a life that I'm
controlled and happy with.
