Undergraduate / 'I never look back' - Common App Short - Snowboarding [3]
I'm not sure if I have the idea of the short answer.. I feel like too vague so i'd like a second opinion please! And do I need to send a message within the short answer?
Thanks!
Please elaborate briefly on your extracurricular activities or work experience. (1000 character limit)
The security of the bootstraps dedicates me to finishing the course, regardless of the challenge level or difficulty, for there is no other way but down. That satisfaction is enough to overcome my apprehensions of the tribulations that lie ahead. Whether it is in the Swiss Alps or my backyard, snowboarding is my passion and has become representational of my life. The support of my friends and family will always be evident, but snowboarding has assured me a new kind of independence. Only I could feel the harsh pains from hours of riding, conquer the fear after tumbling into a powdery obliviation and perfect the techniques of carving. The independence is liberating, understanding that self-discipline and perseverance are the fundamentals of confronting any obstacle.
While I snowboard, I refuse to linger upon my past fallouts, focusing only on improving myself while enjoying the exhilaration along the way. While I snowboard, I never look back, only looking forward to reaching my goal.
