How to write a monologue on the poem 'Past Carin' by Henry Lawson?

Could someone please help me with writing a monologue? It is on the poem 'Past Carin' by Henry Lawson. I have chosen to write about the woman/mother portraied in the poem although i just have no idea how to write a monologue. How to start off and a simple structure would be greatly appreciated!!
