Research Papers / Need a topic for my Accounting Research Project thesis paper.... [6]

is it okay if the research paper will be about history? what can be the main objective or things/ideas to prove?

i thought about the elliot wave as an analytical tool in trading. if i will prove that it is an effective tool, my paper will just be about the wave theory. it might look like a lecture type of paper, right? -__-
