Graduate / 'Aeronautics subjects' - SOP for SPACE TECHNOLOGY [2]
Could anyone give me some advice?
I'm not a native speaker. Your feedback on any point is warmly welcomed!
Thanks!
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
"A willing mind can reach the unreachable stars" I strongly believe in these inspiring words. They have always kept the fire of determination burning in me and have inspired me against obstacles and hurdles. I am writing to express my interest in applying for the Erasmus Master program in Space Master with specialization of Space Technology and Instrumentation at LTU. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from XXXXXXXX. My intense focus in my field of study - with the aid of the excellent environment provided by my course of study and lectures at department of -rendered me with a strong foundation on both the theoretical and practical aspects of my Aeronautics subjects and helped me to be among the top students of my class.
As a student of Aeronautics, I took deep interest in subjects like Applied Physics, Avionics, Electronics & Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Flight dynamics, Rocket and Missiles, Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics etc. This apart we have also been introduced to Avionics Lab, Aircraft System Lab and Principles of management & Professional Ethics. This strong foundation in various subjects that I have covered during the Bachelor studies in Aeronautical Engineering further motivates me and gives me the confidence that I can perform and give my best in my Masters at the LTU.
Meanwhile I have undergone training Flight laboratory Experiments in Indian Institute Technology at Kanpur. After completing my graduation I was selected as Mechatronics Engineer at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is a vibrant and growing defense R&D sector in country. I started by doing some projects on Avionic Enclosure for Missiles and Aircraft. Later I joined with Communication Department, started to work with Telemetry system.
I found out about the "Space Master" program through an internet search for masters programs and I was greatly impressed by the course program offered by this consortium. The fact that the program is being offered at some of the centers of excellence with regards to technology coupled with the quality course outline especially grabbed my attention. The agenda behind the "Erasmus Mundus" program initiated by the EU is indeed praiseworthy and will go a long way in creating not only technically sound engineers but harmonious and friendly relations between the European people and the citizens of the third world.
The methods, technologies, and tools being developed for Space have ample and useful applications in domains such as Defense, Astrology, communication, space monitoring and security, etc. Therefore, there are tremendous opportunities for growth and research and I believe I also have the necessary skills, knowledge and most importantly the motivation and enthusiasm to do research in Space Physics. This master's degree would also go a long way in decreasing the deficit that exists in technical skills in our part of the world. After completing the Space masters program, I look forward to a rewarding career in research and development in Aerospace Engineering. I believe that my unique combination of skills and interests sets me apart from the crowd. I am a creative, intelligent, articulate individual with an intense desire to learn and to use my knowledge to "make a difference" .
