Letters / Request of information about PhD admission at university - cover letter [3]
Dear Mr. Xxx,
I am writing to have some information about PhD application for History, Archaeology and Classical Studies, at the Graduate School of Arts.
I got my Bachelor's degree in Cultural Heritage Studies, curriculum Archaeological Heritage, from the University of XXX (three years - 180 ECTS credits), then I earned the Master's degree in Archaeology after graduating from the University of XXX (two years - 120 ECTS credits). My Master's thesis, entitled "The king in figurative art of the third millennium B.C. in Mesopotamia", focuses on the various features of kingship through iconographic and epigraphic analysis of the regal reliefs.
During my studies I took part in several archaeological excavations and surveys in Italy and Syria, improving my research skills in excavation methods, cataloging systems and reconstruction and visualization of archaeological finds. My experiences include particular emphasis on Classical Archaeology and Literature, Physical Anthropology and History of Religions.
I would be honored to join your research group and continue my studies with a PhD, giving my contribution to the University. To this end, I would need information about current open calls, application procedures and how to apply for scholarships in connection with the application to the PhD program. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely
Thank you all for your help.
