Letters / I wanted to study interior-design; motivation letter: internship abroad [2]
It's not completely finished as i'm still waiting for some answers from companies.

Dear Sir/Madam,
After my publicity and graphic studies at the AAA, witch already was a creative study, I immediately knew i wanted to study interiordesign. Because the study that I completed was more practical than theoretical, I went to follow a one year course at BBB. After this year I was hooked and wanted to learn more about the discipline.
I was particularly interested in furniture design and that is why I chose to go study at the CCC in Mechelen because this course was practically-oriented to furniture design. In my third year I applied for the Erasmus Programme and I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to study abroad with a scholarship in Leeds, UK. This was a great experience and I had a good time both educationally and socially. After Three years I graduated my Bachelor degree with cum laude.
I decided I wanted to expand my knowledge and continue with a Master degree at the DDD College Ghent. This year I will graduate a Master of Science in Interiorarchitecture at the end of June.
During my studies I only have had the chance to do a short internship at a local interiorarchitect. The idea of doing a longterm internship was playing in my head for quit a time when I stumbled upon the I-C project for recently graduates. I'm really interested in participating with the I-C project of FDC. As I was searching for a way to gain experience, I was trilled that with this programme I could do this a broad. It feels like the best of both worlds. In order to get the best out of it, if I get the opportunity, I would go for maximum period of six months.
I'm excited to finally put my knowledge in to practice. And believe that the best learning school is the work field. I am an open-minded person always curious to learn, flexible and willing to work hard.
Due to my personal interests and my high motivation,
I would be delighted to start my training at a foreign company.
I speak Dutch as my mother tongue and my English skills are very good thanks to my Erasmus exchange. As a part of the programme I will definitely take a short language course and I'm curious to take this in to practice.
In my search for a design company I am looking for a young studio that has not expanded to much as I believe I can learn more in a small studio then in a big office. I also made my decisions based on how they approach design and if there style touches me. As I always have been a big fan of Scandinavian design, I would be delighted to find an interesting studio in these countries. But in my search I prioritised the company instead of on the Country that is why I also selected some interesting studios in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
