Graduate / SOP for graduate admission in EEE concentrating in Embedded System [3]
Hi...its Omer.
Would appreciate if anyone could see my SOP which may require lots of correction.

Introduction:
We have witnessed a remarkable growth and development of Embedded System and its applications. Perhaps the next decade will shape the technologies to take the present Information Age to Embedded System and its convergences with other system which will be portable or wearable. The Embedded System offers a boundless outlet for creative activity in invention, design and analysis.
I received a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering in March 2004 from Adamson University, which is one of the best engineering institutions in the Philippines. For a year I worked as a TD (Technology Developer) in R&D Dept of HTI (Hugle Technology Inc.) in Manila, Philippines where I worked with various microprocessor architectures as well as its development tools. I provided solution for RF applications. Program the firmware code of RTC (Real Time Clock) for both the Master Peripheral and secondary unit of TKS (Time Keeping System) with Barcode and RFiD using the PIC12F629 and PIC18F452. Worked with the R&D Dept particularly with the WSS (Wireless Security System) section as a TD where assigned as firmware engineer in PIC Microcontroller.
Above experience gave me the vision to foresee where the technology will reach by next century and by last decade i have witnessed the same trend with much accelerated acceleration.
I was fortunate to be introduced with Analog design and its vastness where i worked for four years (Power IC Ltd, Dhaka Bangladesh). There I put programs together (C++ platform) to test IC including its circuit card assemblies. I also supported the manufacturing and production concern, preparing probe card, working with probe station so primarily the day-to-day work is program generation and writing software for production test and wafer level test in Eagle tester (ETS 200, ETS 600) TMT and AMIDA. Along with that, I did the bench test, ESD test which enrich my knowledge about automated test and bench test comparison.
I gathered knowledge on digital, Analog and mix-signal testing methodology and ultimately seen the view point how an application engineer see things after the production of Analog IC. Above convergence of Analog and Digital exposure has given me the utmost confidence to concentrate on further study in the field of embedded system.
From the very basic theoretical knowledge of transistor till its real time application use i worked closely with each of the steps (Industry requirements, Analog design, simulation, layout, pre-production sample, bench test, wafer level test, last minute probe test and finally production). With the initial expose on embedded system, now i have the birds-eye view of the end to end system which uses by an end user.
So i wish to earn an MS degree in Electrical Engineering, as it would provide an opportunity to extend my interest and knowledge in Embedded System to new heights. My present conviction on this has inspired me to select Electrical Engineering as the field for advancing my career building effort and I want to establish a career in the area of Embedded System. A graduate degree from a university of good repute is essential for reaching my goal.
One of the greatest assets I possess is my independent and creative thinking ability that has allowed me to solve many technical problems. Further, and equally importantly, I have the ability to function effectively as a team player, as well as to provide leadership, whenever needed.
Conclusion:
I survived the most difficult time of my life during my carrier shift from Research work to Sales service work where i exposed with Nokia and Samsung mobile after sales service for 5 years. But i treat these non engineering experience as a valuable tools where customer satisfaction with market oriented work taught me the real world experience of mobile technology which is ultimate an embedded system.
Carrier shift happened mostly because of no such company build up locally here in Bangladesh after the ex employer (POWER IC LTD) wind up in the year 2009. So currently i am working with Tech giant Samsung Electronics in CS (customer satisfaction) department and ready to restart my carried one more time with more confidence and financial backup. I feel that I am ready to enroll in a graduate program in my areas of interest Embedded System.
It would be my privilege to study in the University of Dayton which is held in high esteem in the world. I am confident that I would be able to fully utilize my capabilities as a graduate student. An offer of graduate study in your world-renowned department will be the first step towards reaching my goal.
