Graduate / Believe in what you do, hunt for it, this will take where you need to go. [4]
Statement of Purpose
These were the words my father always told to me which made my mind incline towards a goal that thrives in achieving perfection in whatever field I choose. Initially in my childhood my ambition was to become a journalist or a news reader. Science and mathematics used to appear to me as drab and unimaginative. But this changed during one of the science workshop I attended in my school, this one small incident change my decision in life. The separation of iron from sulphur by magnetic effect baffled and fascinated me towards science. The workshop showed me the essence of science and significance in the world. I still recollect the great feeling of excitement which ran through me when I made a bulb glow using a dynamo for the first time. Nevertheless to say, I became interested in science particularly electronics and decided to take physics and mathematics as my main subjects in 12th standard.
The exposure and interaction with similar minds hitched my interest toward taking electronics and telecommunication in my under graduation. With ace marks in my engineering entrance exam I choose to pursued my under graduation in Symbiosis Institute of Technology under one of the reputed international university ,Symbiosis International University, Pune.. During my undergraduate program, I have studied many interesting subjects like 'Digital Signal Processing', 'Analog Circuit Desigh, 'electro magnetic and transmission lines', but I always nurtured an interest in 'Embedded Systems Design', and 'Computer Network and Wireless Voice'. My undergraduate institute played a huge role in fostering my interest as well as increasing exposure. I was chosen as the vice chair of SIT-IEEE student branch, which gave me an opportunity to enhance my leadership and organizing skills in the college events. I could make my first electronic project in second year on "electronic dice "realized using a 555 timer ,4017 counter to display a random dice number by the LEDs.To put the knowledge into practical's in 2nd year I was a given a project to develop a 'Quiz' program using data structures and algorithm in C. This was something that I enjoyed the most in college. My interest towards embedded systems and programming led to my choice of project in 3rd year to be 'Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)' implemented based on embedded C.
It was a proud moment for me when I was chosen in the top 10 students out of 120 in our department to undergo training for 3 semesters in Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) ,Pune, which is one of the top ranking telecommunication industry in India. It was a great opportunity to gain practical knowledge on the computer networking and network security. I successfully finished the three certification course offered by the BSNL under EETP (Employment Enhancement Training Program).
As part of my learning curve in my final year I am currently training at Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO),Hyderabad for 6 months . In DRDO I work as a project trainee under Advance Numerical Research and Analysis Group (ANURAG). Here,I am working on a project, OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulators) Transmitters and Receivers for which I am developing a C as well as matlab code in accordance with DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) standards. The experience over here opened new horizons for me in terms of professionalism.
Being a staunch believer in academics and co-curricular activities, I have organized various technical events under Proelium Sapientia a tech-fest for E&TC department in Symbiosis for three consecutive years. This experience taught me how to handle people with immense ease and confidence.
I am also passionate about doing my bit for society and an executive member in Society to Create Awareness on Public Safety ( SCAPS) that creates awareness among public on safety preparedness and orderliness. Through this I made a goal of developing some advanced road safety electronic devices and other traffic signaling systems to reduce road accidents and traffics problems. Which is a major problem faced by many countries in the world.
My fascination for the ever growing field of electronics and electrical engineering is my biggest asset and I regard, that by obtaining my Masters Degree at ______________ university [about the university].
