To facilitate the development of the community, it is indispensable to have various kinds of facilities constructed. Depending on personal experience and personality type, some hold the idea of building a huge factory, but others choose not to have a plant. In this essay, both benefits and drawbacks of establishing a factory near my community are discussed as below.
The advantages of having an enormous factory near my community are detailed in this paragraph. In terms of the job opportunity, it cannot be denied that employment plays a significant part in each individual's life. In other word, a factory established is able to provide local residents with plentiful job vacancies and meanwhile most can acquire better compensation. Labors, for example, such as bricklayers, construction workforce, and carpenters are normally required when the factory is built initially. Moreover, the personnel working in the factory tend to purchase commodities from local shops, which undoubtedly boosts the economic development of the community.
The disadvantages of establish a new factory nearby should also be taken into account. It is widely acknowledged that a factory is more likely to result in various aspects of pollution, such as air pollution, water pollution, and land pollution. What's even worse is the fact that severe pollution may cause irrevocable damage to individual's physical condition along with native environment. Take the air pollution as an example. It seems possible that toxic fumes emitted from a factory contribute to respiratory diseases such as asthma. In the long run, one living near the factory is apt to suffer unknown sickness the factory brings about. In addition, it is undeniable that the major cause of acid rain is chemicals released by industries. Such a lethal problem causes significantly adverse impacts not only on individuals but also on ecosystem as a result.
