Motivation Letter
I graduated from Telkom University Bandung Indonesia in 2016. I took telecommunication engineering as my major. I have a high interest in studying telecommunication because telecommunication can help connect people in distance easily, it can contribute enhancing another field such as education, business, and health. Furthermore, telecommunication will give a big impact on the way we live and work in the future. That makes me want to learn about the development of telecommunication.
I am attracted to information and network engineering especially communications engineering KTH Royal Institute of Technology; this programme will provide me not only by a broad basis and the opportunity of in-depth studies about the field but also non-technical classes such as project management and leadership as well. Moreover, the good reputation of high-quality education standards, and connections with research facilities and industry leaders like Ericsson, Huawei and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology are the factors which have motivated me to choose for my master studies in KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
During my four years of studying, I took an internship in P.T Aplikanusa Lintasarta as maintenance engineering in 2014. I learned a lot of practical knowledge there such as maintenance of error network (metro ethernet and VSAT), installing new devices and connecting to the main network, making relations with customers. A year later I got a chance to do an internship in Directorate of Telecommunication - General Directorate of Post and Informatics Operation - Communication and Information ministry as staff a year later. I helped formulating policies, drafting norms, standards, procedures, and criteria as well as the provision of technical guidance and evaluation in the field of telecommunications.
Moreover, I joined with Mobile Communication laboratory, a research laboratory in my former university, which focus on the development of mobile technology. My activities in my laboratory were researching about mobile communication technology especially 3GPP technology, giving assistance to Telkom University students who need a help to finish their final project relating mobile communication and giving training to Telkom University students and professional employers relating mobile communication technology ( Drive-Test, Optimization, Basic Theory Mobile Communication Technology).
I am much eager to adopt and enrich my knowledge about new communication technologies. I am really enthusiastic to attend a Master degree in communication engineering, this is a chance and an opportunity for me to participate in developing my country through communication engineering knowledge and skills. My future plan is to be a lecturer in my former university while helping Communication and Information Ministry to regulate ICT in the future, I hope, I can contribute in developing my country through sharing my knowledge and inspire the students and people in my country. I need to enrich my knowledge of communication engineering and of course about leadership skills as well. I will be happy to provide any further information or documents if required. I look forward to your positive response. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours faithfully.
