Stronger Core
Being able to create and innovate for better living, and contributing to projects that impact the masses in a daily basis is extraordinaire to me. Because of my interest towards creating a better quality of life along with my fondness of designing and building, I choose civil engineering. As a middle child, growing up, I have to admit "the mediator role" had some truth to it. But, rather than just being a mediator, I slowly developed a keen interest towards my subjects, the living species that I've also been classified as since birth, the human species. As I dove in further, I started to see the importance of the living environment to people, key parts of it, such as accessibility and efficiency. I realized that I've become more and more fascinated with the problems that civil engineers face every day. I strive not only to better understand how people maneuver life, but also to find potential external improvements, that can be made to push the betterment of quality of life.
Furthermore, I'm intrigued by the advantages that green buildings and sustainable designs can bring. I'm interested in the development of buildings that are environment-oriented, that includes the harnessing of local climate, sun position, wind flow, and other environmental factors, alike the Passivhaus and zero net energy homes. Also, I think improvement in public transportation is also crucial, especially because it helps to open connections to isolated areas. That is why, through civil engineering, I know that I can implement my thirst of improving living and passion for building. I believe that by enhancing the basic everyday needs, such as, infrastructure, transportation, homes, and other public areas, it can help jump start advancement in numerous other fields, as everything starts from its core.

I don't know if I succeeded adding the humor/sarcasm on the human species part.
Thank you :)
