Hi friends, I am writing a career plan essay for Chevening scholarship. Below is my response to the question. I would appreciate any feedback and comments!

Chevening is looking for individuals who have a clear post-study career plan. Please outline your immediate plans upon returning home and your longer term career goals. You may wish to consider how these relate to what the UK government is doing in your country. (minimum word count: 100 words, maximum word count: 500 words)
My Response:
UK and Indonesia have bilateral cooperation in trade and economy sector. Recently they signed an MoU related to research and innovation cooperation.
In 2045, Indonesia is predicted to be the top 5 largest economies.
It needs efforts to maintain and increase economic growth to achieve the goal. One of the most significant opportunities to achieve it is successfully implementing emerging technologies in the national industry. I have the path to be part of this effort.
As an employee who works on developing and running the digital security business field in a state-owned enterprise called PERURI, I plan to support its digital security business. Specifically, I will help identify, assess, and implement emerging technologies investment and drive innovation through technology transfer and acquisition. The emerging technologies that are a priority in this implementation are the Internet of Things and blockchain technology. These align with national industry demand and go to Industry 4.0 soon. In short term (5 years) goals, I plan to develop a short and medium blueprint for PERURI's digital security business to make the right investment and provide more space for innovation in increasing product excellence and following industry needs in facing future challenges.
I will also take a PhD program to enhance my research capacity and doing projects related to emerging technologies and innovation management in the future. Using my experiences and network, I plan to create research projects about implementing and accelerating emerging technologies implementation in Indonesia, particularly in the national industry which supports trades and investment activities in both countries. I hope to partner with Newton Fund and collaborate with my national SOE network, a community that involves more than 100 enterprises with a vital role in Indonesia's economy.
Finally, my effort in contributing to the improvement in digital business and economy in Indonesia (as well as achieving the 9th SDGs goal about Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) will efficiently be achieved when I have a worldwide network Chevening community.
