The chart provides the information of employment in a number of tourism-related industries over a ten- year period. Overall, the total level of employment witness a upward tren during the period. In additon, there was a variation among individual sectors. While the figures food industry saw a significant increased, hotel and other accomodation declined its workforce over the decade.
In 2009, hotel industry drew attention to massive labour, which become the most prevelant sector of total. The second position was held by sports with 284,700 employees and followed closely by the figure of food industry. Less employments could be seen in travel and culture, recorded under 100 thousands individuals, rating at 60,900 and 82,800 respectively.
Travel represented the biggest area of expansion, having almost doubled its number of employees by 2019. food industry also saw a significant increase, from 283,000 employees in 2009 to 357,000 in 2019, while the sports industry enjoyed an almost equal level of growth. The least successful sector was culture, including museums and art galleries, where the figures actually fell slightly over the period.
