While some argue that migrants with similar background should stay in the same neighborhood, suggesting the formation of a closely-knitted community to preserve their original way of living, this passage aims to demonstrate why such a narrow approach is harmful to society.
To initiate, embracing local customs play a pivotal role in aiding newcomers to integrate into the unfamiliar environment. Engaging local rituals can help people grasp the local language and adapt to their work and academic lives through their interactions with native speakers. Research highlights the widespread agreement that expats actively participating in local events require less effort in securing employment opportunities.
