At the Autistic Society of Trinidad and Tobago, I had to work with various children at music therapy, art therapy and many motor skills development activities. My experience has enabled me to be more self-assertive and self-confident since I was able to develop my leadership skills while working with different individuals. I have become a good team-player and have learnt the value of good interpersonal and communication skills when working with people of different backgrounds. Volunteering has helped me to mature faster and to gain a sense of social responsibility which has contributed to my overall development as an individual.
