Undergraduate / Mass Art and Photography: Statement of Purpose help? [3]

I have to write a statement of purpose to go along with my application and portfolio for Mass Art. I've never had to write one before, so I don't really know if mine is good or not. I'm really good at writting regular college essays, but I'm having trouble with this. It's only my first really really really rough draft, but can anyone just tell me if I have the basic idea right?

Photography is so much more than just taking pictures. It's a form of art , a type of expression, a way to show how you see the world, the ability to say things without words, the preservation of one moment in time forever, and most importantly, a passion. I take pictures because of all of that, and simply because I love to. Photography has become such a large part of my life, and my reason for applying to Massachusetts College of Art and Design is to become a professional photographer, so that it always will be.

I've been around photography my entire life: my grandfather always had his camera with him, snapping pictures of anything and everything, and my mom began to take up photography when I was little, too. So I was surrounded by it growing up, but never really understood why it was so great until my fourteenth birthday. That's when my parents decided to buy me my first digital camera. I walked around the house all day and took pictures of anything I could find, from flowers in the hallway, to the carton of milk in the fridge. I hadn't realized it then, but looking back now, I know that was the very day I fell in love with photography.

Ever since that day, photography has been one of my biggest passions. I love the freedom of expression that it gives me, and the escape from reality I get. When I get mad, frustrated, upset, annoyed, or even overly hyper, I just grab my camera, go for a walk, and start taking pictures. I'm not sure why, but something about it helps me to focus, and calm down.

I was never really into the whole 'high school' thing. As I sat in classrooms over the past thirteen years, I would always stare out the window, thinking of all the places I'd rather be. I never felt motivated enough to get good grades, so I didn't really do my homework, study, or try that hard at all. Although, I have to admit, a good amount of the time I should've spent studying, I spent taking pictures.

I also haven't written the ending paragraph yet, I'm having trouble with that too.
