Essays / Looking for an aphorism to use in an essay describing a character [2]

I'm supposed to write an essay that describes a character. In the first paragraph, I have to introduce the character and have an opinion about him in the first sentence, use vivid images and observations about the character's fashions, name, and body language in the other sentences, and in the last sentence include an aphorism - a concise statement/quote of what people say that is interesting/insightful about the character or what he says about himself. Its supposed to kind of work as a thesis and will eventually lead to a "revelation of truth" in the end. That's where I'm stuck at. I'm not even sure what an aphorism is or how to come up with a good one to use in an essay. I'll paste the first paragraph below; (other than any grammar, spelling, usage, or sentence structure corrections) any suggestions?

In spite of his friendliness and welcoming demeanor, Dr. Ethan Wolfe was a deceptive and dishonest man. Every morning he'd wake up and sip a cup of coffee while feverishly pouring over a daily to-do list prepared for him by his secretary full of goals to accomplish and patients to see, both old and new, mischievously plotting out the day ahead. He would never leave to his office in the city without wearing a commanding white lab coat over his impeccable shirt and tie, grey hair slicked back, along with a broad, fake smile he'd occasionally put on if necessary to exude a warm yet authoritative and professional aura hiding his underlying amoral intentions. He'd walk with a confident swagger out the door, kissing his wife and kids goodbye, out of the tony suburb he resided in to the subway headed southbound into the city's downtown core, quietly observing the other commuters on the train and wondering if they were observing him too while reassuring himself that he was the greatest, smartest, wealthiest, and best-looking man in every situation he found himself in.
