The future is a place of unlimited possibilities. It provides hope, anticipation, excitement and uncertainty, amongst a wide range of other emotions. The future is a constant source of optimism for everybody, whether the present times are favorable or not. In the future, good fortune can continue, or it can replace misfortune of current times. For me, the word "future" invokes a lot of unanswered questions. Where am I going to go to college? What am I going to study? What should I do with my life? Heck, what am I having for dinner tonight? However, despite the vast uncertainty that dominates both my immediate and distant future, I have no doubt that the roadmap for my life will ultimately lead me to a place of joy and success.

As I pursue my future, I hope my map holds directions to the University of Virginia. If UVA is a stop on the track of my future, I am confident that the course of my life will be full of successes. No matter where I end up, I know the future holds endless opportunities for every aspect of life. Despite-or maybe because of-the uncertainty that comes with it, my future is one of my favorite things to think about. The immense possibility for discovery, achievement and accomplishment provides excitement that makes the future a source of anticipation for everybody.
