Undergraduate / Art Institute - Game Art & Design Degree - Admissions Essay [2]
Technology has always been a big part of my life. Ever since I was a child I loved computers even when I didn't entirely understand them. It was this curiosity that led me to learn computer programs entirely out of my comfort zone. While other students were just learning the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, I was learning Photoshop and Dreamweaver. My goal is obviously to become part of the game development community, but also to shape how they are created in the future. My belief is that after receiving this education from Art Institute, I will be able to develop competently and knowledgeably. I absolutely love the idea of being able to create what I've been playing my entire life. I will do whatever is possible to make my time at Art Institute worthwhile. Going to school to learn what I love to do during my free time honestly sounds like a win-win situation to me. Generally when I'm working on things computer-related, I am a perfectionist about it. If it doesn't look good I'll start over or spend a lot longer on something simple. It is this quality that makes me perfect for this degree.
