Writing Feedback / 'People studying purposes for adult education [chart]' - Writing Task [4]
Hey! Dear Whoever but whoever can help,
I'm going to attend the IELTS test two weeks later and I just started to prepare my writing. The grad school I'm going to apply is of such a high maintenance on the score of both writing and speaking, which is 7.5 at least for each. I'm finished...
Anyway have to start from beginning. Here's my answer for Writing Task I. I keep wondering which part matters more in this task, the analysis of figures (I've seen several sample answers which always cut in the different degree with me...do I have to follow the specific reasoning?), or the sentence levels? Thank you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The two charts respectively show the people's studying purposes for adult education and allocation of its cost according to their views.
Among seven reasons listed in the first chart, three of them are directly related to employment, accounting for 22%, 20% and 12% each. However, the first and last reason are job-irrelevant, with 40% out of interest and 9% for social network enhancement. Other reasons concerning about qualification or pure happiness of learning, take a proportion of 38% and 20% respectively.
According to the pie chart, an ideal cost allocation for adult education participants is shown with the share of 40% for individual, 35% for employer and 25% for taxpayer. These figures appropriately explains that the main source of the cost still comes from the individual themselves while the rest should be shared by taxpayers and employers together.
From above, we can clearly see that the adult education generally severs for meeting with the job demands from its participants who believe that individuals should only be responsible for part of the cost.
