Undergraduate / 'a national history prize' - about common application additional information [5]

hey guys~

thanks for the replies.

My essay is about "the impacts of the Norman Conquest" - British history! cuz I'm in the UK, doing A levels. ;)

The essay itself is very self-evident in that I divided the essay into parts, analysing the impacts from different angles.

There are also intro + conclusion at either end of the essay.

In that way, I can make sure I don't overwhelm anybody with tedious arguments.

do you think I should still go for it?

P.S. Many Thanks to

That sounds like a really long essay! Perhaps You should try posting this on College Confidential under the commonapp section!

I'll post this to CC ASAP!

Undergraduate / 'a national history prize' - about common application additional information [5]

Hey guys,

I have a question about the additional information section on commonapp.

I attended a national history prize and got my research essay recommended by the committee (1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 recommended).

Since I would like to be a history major in my future university, I'm thinking whether I should attach a copy of my essay in the additional information section.

This is just a preliminary thought cuz I know it's a bit risky.

BTW, my essay is 4,000 word long.

If I do decide to attach it, do you guys think the AOs would pass it on to their history department for review?

What are the benefits + risks of doing so?

Thanks millions for 'rescuing' me!

xx
