Graduate / 'From automation to electrical car' SOP for MS Electrical Eng. @UCB - feedback [3]

Well...this is my 4th SOP already. Still, I'm not pretty sure that my attitude or statement is strong enough. I really wanted to study in 20 Top universities in the US.But, I don't know if this statement of purpose is attractive enough or not. So I would like you guy's helps .

Thanks (_ _)

This is my statement of purpose for UC Berkeley and Georgia Inst.

Many metropolises in the world are facing the same problem of air pollution and the raising of temperature because of the massive of combustion engines running in the city. Especially Bangkok of Thailand, my country, is at the critical edge from the disaster above. Plus, the decreasing of conventional fuel raise it price. This encourages me to study to alternate the combustion engine with electrical motor and develop a new generation automobile. The target is to rejuvenate the environment and improve the electric drive and power electronics into the limit of efficiency. I am strongly believed that my potential could move a big step forward for mankind's transportation.

My self confidence in my potential is from my background while I was studying in the Mechatronics engineering program at ________________________. Back then, I was very interested in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and control engineering. Thus, led me good in realizing my ideas to develop electrical application, especially automation as I did many experiments and joined several competitions.

My senior project titled "Ball and Plate Control" was awarded second prize of IEEE Senior Project Contest 2011 in the area of Control and Instrumentation by IEEE Thailand section. To achieve the objective in controlling the ball's movement and position by tilting the plate with electrical motors, it required not only knowledge in feedback controls and digital image processing but also pragmatic skill. Moreover, I joined and won the first prize for ________________ Robot Maze Contest 2010 in Nagoya, Japan. My concept was to use a microcontroller as an automatic control processor unit and infrared transceivers for wireless communication. These projects are the descendant of my former work called "The Iron Man" project which is my master piece of automation.

The Iron Man project was a new transportation control system in a factory using an auto guided vehicle (AGV) newly developed for ________________________, in the department of Management Innovation (MI) of visual display factory when I had an opportunity to intern with them in 2010. It used feedback control which made the AGVs travel fast with highly accurate route tracking. And the wireless communications used infrared transceivers that made it possible for the AGVs to report their status and receive commands from a server. The idea of using infrared communication was modified from their TV's remote control. The project very impressed the __________ factory's director.

From my background and motivation, I fervently believe that I am an excellent candidate for XXXX electrical engineering master and PhD program. I have spent many years to study and work on apply motors in automation that I can control it to accelerate, decelerate or even positioning. The next step is to deepen study in the electrical hardware and theory in order to make electrical motors for automobile more practical. I especially look forward to working with and sharing with professors and other graduates in your highly esteemed program. Thank you for your kind consideration of my application.
