Topic : Some people show their emotions, while other people work hard to keep their emotions from showing. What are advantages of each type of behavior? which do you try to do?
I am very above-board and talkative. I often express what I think outside. However, there are advantages of keeping emotions from showing.
In my opinion, showing my emotions in both when happy and when sad helps everybody understand me better and makes me more comfortable. When I newly entered high school, my new friends appeared not to be friendly and we nearly did not talk very much. I felt so difficult to make friends with them. But since I indicated my attitudes naturally, told jokes, they have liked me and been more friendly. I have another interesting example to prove advantages of type of this behavior. One time my work was so bad, I faced to a lot of troubles. I felt stress and tired. I roared my self hoarse and cried aloud, broke everything within my reach, of course, nobody was here. After that, I felt better and continued to work.
However, it is so improper if we always show our emotions, so we need to keep our feeling from showing in some cases. I have an experiment that I was really regret. In the past, my friends had a new shirt. But, it was out-of-date, and did not suit her. I bursted out laughing and said derisively that she looked like Cinderella. She was so angry with me that she did not want to be my friend any more. I apologized to her very much. I understand that I should keep my emotion from showing and make a suggestion politely. I remember when I saw my father to station. Although very sad, I still tried to hide that sadness so that my father kept his mind on his work.
Showing or not showing emotions suit each individual case. Sometimes concealing not necessarily make up artificially. I think we should live honestly with ourselves.
