Undergraduate / NJIT application essay. How did you hear about njit and why are you applying [NEW]
Please look over my essay, give any advice you feel will help, thank you in advance.:)
The first person to inform me about NJIT was my grandfather, during my youth my Grandfather was the person whom i went to for any inquiries on college, due to the fact that he is the only college graduate in my family. Everything he ever told me about NJIT was extraordinary, whether it be the extent of the knowledge of the professors or the diversity of the students. Everything he told me about the university heightened my interest. I have visited NJIT on multiple occasions and saying i'm in love with the school would be an understatement. Ever since i can remember i have been interested in the way computers work, at age ten i took apart my fathers computer simply because i wanted to see what was inside of it that caused it to operate, needless to say he wasn't very happy with me but never the less i was astounded. It was bewildering to see every component of this machine that at the time seemed almost magical. Since that day i have had an utmost compassion for computer engineering. My ambition is to one day be a software engineer, due to my love for coding, C++ and my deep interest for anything related to physics. NJIT grabbed my interest due to how prominent it is here in New Jersey, graduating from a school so well known can do nothing but benefit me on my road to achieving my lifework's goals. The campus itself is exquisite, The urban setting close to home provides me with a sense of familiarity. While I am on the campus i feel an extreme sense of security, as if i belong there. There is no other school that interests me as much as NJIT. NJIT is the perfect school for me to achieve my dreams and maximize my academic potential.
