Beautiful/ Gym classes/ History/ Alumni/ Liberal Arts curriculum; Why Lewis & Clark ? [4]
Prompt: "In approximately 250 words, please provide a statement reflecting on your interest in enrolling at Lewis and Clark College." (Due Tomorrow, 1/15)
To express all the reasons I want to attend Lewis & Clark is far beyond 1300 characters.
From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew it was the place I would be honoured to spend four years of my life. Was it the beautiful campus? The vegan options in the cafeteria? The variety of gym classes offered? Was it the history behind Pio, the Newfoundland? The small class sizes? On my tour and orientation, the presenters, both alumni, had an aura that impressed me. They were professional, well-dressed, and knowledgeable about the options at Lewis & Clark. They represent what I aspire to be in four years. The liberal arts curriculum impressed me, because it allows me to constantly explore new interests, not just in my major. I hope to study German, join the debate/forensics team, and even take classes I never knew existed, in order to achieve a well-rounded education. What really first drew me in to Lewis & Clark was the Study Abroad program. Last summer I went overseas with my AP European History class to travel to London, Paris, Florence, and Rome. I adored the UK so much that I decided I would spend a year there at some point in my life and your overseas program seems ideal for just that.
So what is the reason I want to attend Lewis & Clark? It is how all aspects of the college match my goals and aspirations. It is to explore, to learn, to work together.
