Essays / How to write "essay of my choice" ? Need advice! [6]
Thanks for all your help so far everyone.
How does this seem for an opening paragraph?
Paragraph 1 Introduction
(i)Mortality is the frequency of deaths in a particular hospital or area. Morbidity is the proportion of disease in a particular hospital or area. All activity that occurs in a hospital including morbidity and mortality is recorded and put onto a data base. The data consists of a wide range of information on the individual patients admitted to hospitals. Information such as disease, infections, death rates, and locations of hospitals are included. (ii) This data can be used to perform research on specific hospitals. Once specific data is accumulated it can be used to remedy the issues by exploration of the reasons behind the problems. (iii) But while this data is readily available it does not seem to be used to its full potential. There are many examples of instances where data could have been used to reduce morbidity and mortality but it has not. Furthermore it seems as though lives are being lost and people are suffering due to the systematic use of gagging orders to prevent the information needed to help reduce death, disease and infection from being used. The reasons behind why data is not being used to its full potential along with the holding back of information, the reasons, and the people involved needs to be investigated.
