Undergraduate / Radiography program application essay question [2]
I am applying for a Radiography Program and need some input on the essay please and thanks in advance.
Essay Question: Please describe the steps you have taken to research or gain experience in the field of Radiography. How has this prepared you to be successful in the field of Radiography? How will completing this program help you meet your personal and professional goals and interests?
I have always had a interest in the medical health field. I knew I wanted to work in this field, but was unsure of exactly which path I wanted to take. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from Linfield College and still unsure of what I wanted to do for a career. Exercise Science is a very broad degree and I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I continue to tell myself if I could do it all over again I would have chose something specific from the beginning, but I had no idea what I wanted to do at 18 years old. I took a Summer Chemistry class at Oregon State University and stayed with a friend's Aunt and Uncle. The Aunt had a Radiography degree and absolutely loved what she did. She attended Linn Benton Community College. She talked so highly of it and that influenced me to look in to Radiography. Ever since I stayed with them I always had a thought in my head of wanting to go back to school for Radiography. From there I began to research what one did with a Radiography degree. I loved everything about it. I love interacting with people. This has prepared me to be successful in the field of Radiography because I love working with people and interacting with patients and it is in the medical/health field which has always been a dream of mine. Completing this program will fulfill both my personal and professional goals. I will be working in the medical/health field, I will be working with and meeting new people, and it will prepare me to start my career.
