Undergraduate / I love to solve problems; Northwestern Supplement: Why Northwestern? [2]

Hey guys, I'm struggling a bit with this question, but I wrote.. something. Any criticism/help would be greatly appreciated.

What are the unique qualities of Northwestern - and of the specific undergraduate school to which you are applying - that make you want to attend the University? In what ways do you hope to take advantage of the qualities you have identified?

I love to solve problems. I relish it, I revel in it. This is why I love my math classes, why I fix electronics, why I program: for the release that comes with finding the answer. I think that McCormick is a good fit for me because the Whole-Brain approach combines the traditional engineering education with the creativity that is necessary to solve today's complex problems. Learning another approach can only further strengthen my commitment to finding creative, innovative and efficient solutions now, and solving problems later in a professional setting. In addition, the presence of the International Institute for Nanotechnology on campus will provide an opportunity for research in a field and at a laboratory that are the cutting edge.

The quarter system holds a unique appeal to me; because my interests are disparate, I frequently have to prioritize utility over interest. At other schools, I might not have the opportunity to take classes in theatre tech or Spanish without making myself a less viable engineering student. At Northwestern, these interests, and others, could become important parts of my curriculum.

However, it was my visit to Northwestern that sealed the deal. As I walked around campus, I felt like I was already a part of the vibrant community. Talking to students on campus had me imagining myself at 'Dillo Day, participating in the Primal Scream during finals and surreptitiously camping out to to paint The Rock. As I looked at the skyline of the Windy City over Lake Michigan, I realized that Northwestern was the school for me. I would love to engage in not only the innovative learning environment, but the lively, exciting campus life at Northwestern.
