In this modern age of 21st century nations can never be developed without the equal effort of both essential elements of society. The most developed nations of the world are instance of this phenomena. That is why the developing nations try to empower women in every perspective. In Pakistan, impressive participation of women depict the woman's freedom of expression. The female literacy rate in Pakistan is gradually increasing, because of which the intellectual decision-making power in enhancing.
However still Pakistani women facing hurdles in performing their duties in active manners. Because of these hurdles women cannot take part efficiently. That is why in re-polling held on its order on may 23 at two polling station in Battagram, not even a single women came to vote throughout the day. Some female voters complained that at 11 may they were not allowed to cast their ballot. It's really embarrassing movement for our nation that people of our nation still have such opinion that, women have no right to bring the change in society.
ECP took an active action in counter by sending the message that women must be able to freely exercise their franchising rights but still ECP have to accept the victory of Battagram constituency as a fait accompli.
In nutshell its unbelievable that women willing to did not cast their votes in this contemporary age. That was openly an oppressive action from misogynist. Disenfranchising o women voters can be a cause of many crisis in Pakistan. ECP should take an unequivocal action against such practices.
