Essays / Homelessness & Poverty - 3 different sources from different media that portray the issues [4]
So I have a 5-7 page essay due tomorrow & i don't know how to start it. The Instructions are...
Choose 3 different sources (articles, news clips, movie, blog, radio, etc...) from different media sources (newspaper, TV, internet, radio) that portray issues of poverty and/or homelessness. In a 5-7 page paper you will answer/address the following questions:
1. Provide an overview of each source and its media source. In the overview tell me where it was from, what the title was, and when it came out. Provide a description of what is was about and what the main messages or themes that the source was trying convey.
2. For each of the 3 media sources explain why the message or theme may have been shaped that way and include a discussion about power. Also include a discussion about how the views may have been shaped and how they relate to some of the macro structural reasons that are associated with poverty/homelessness.
3. Lastly explain your own personal views regarding each source. Did you agree or disagree with each message or theme? How does "who you are," shape how you see each message?
