I have the pleasure to express my interest to join the Young Graduate Trainees at the [...]in the field of [...]. Having recently graduated from the Chemical Engineering School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and in search of an opportunity to fulfill my aims, I happened to see the programmes for young graduates in [...]'s webpage. My love for space and the unknown since I was little was the driving force to realize this application.
After finishing my MSc degree in Engineering, I feel confident for my capabilities, especially in the field of Thermal Engineering. Having excelled in the majority of the relating subjects, you will find me as a great fit for the team. Simulation software like Aspen Plus, Aspen HTFS, Comsol Multiphysics, were the basis of many courses like Applied Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer Phenomena, Mass and Energy Balances and Thermophysical Properties Prediction. Moreover, the wide laboratory experience I obtained during my studies helped me complete my thesis "Methane steam reforming at low temperature: effect of light alkanes' presence on coke formation" in the laboratory of Petrochemical Technology of A.U.Th under the supervision of Prof. Lemonidou A. A., which has led to a publication in a high impact journal (Catalysis Today), and to an international conference in Clean Energy (ICCE 2014).
Working as part of a team has always been an advantage for me. While being cooperative, trustworthy and honest, I was elected as the President of Chemical Engineer Students' Union during the fourth year of my studies. In the present, I attend an international school organized and funded by LyondellBasell in Ferrara, Italy finishing on March of 2015. Working in a multicultural environment has given me the opportunity to extend my communication skills in English, while learning Italian.
I strongly believe you will benefit from my skills on researching, my flexibility on cross-cultural teams and my will to learn. Given the opportunity, I would apply myself with enthusiasm to all tasks, ensuring that I will get the job done accurately and efficiently. I look forward to an interview with you. Thank you for considering me for your team.
Yours sincerely,
