Undergraduate / Why do you wish to study Computer Science? What influenced your decision? [3]

ANY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED :-) please help me improve grammar, spelling, writing style and whatnot :-)

The digital age has come upon us. Someday, we will be uploading our minds into machines and continue existing inside android bodies. While one may believe technological singularity is implausible, I imagine it is inevitable.

Computers are accessible to everybody nowadays however during its initial production, it was enormous and only professionals can operate it. Attempts in the building the computer dates not long ago, yet the advancements have been sufficient to do complex mathematical computations and do demanding commands simultaneously. This reflects man's curiosity and thirst for knowledge. In fact, if we stop seeking fresh knowledge, the world stops growing. To contribute to this cause makes the future worth anticipating.

We enrich humanity in different ways. Computer scientists can create instruments for convenience and leisure. Furthermore, they can transform the inventions in the realm of science fiction into reality. Technological devices can't comprehend anything, the intellectuals behind them does the job.

I view programming as an art. I'm a poor artist. In several instances, I compose a wonderful idea in my head and results to being the worst drawing ever illustrated. With the first Computer Science course I've taken, I realized I wasn't required to draw well to create art. Programming is an art in its own respect. Creative execution makes a painting beautiful while a program's efficiency makes it useful. Logical thinking necessary in programming positively influenced my lifestyle.

Although my passion in becoming a computer scientist is the biggest reason leading to my decision to pursue that path, I've considered practical reasons. Demand for computer science graduates these days is growing. In almost all websites I've visited, Computer Science graduates consistently ranks as one of the most sought after, and the trend is unlikely to be changing soon. Moreover, several sub-fields available provides options to work on research to expand and improve the field, work in companies and satisfy consumer needs or perhaps teach future computer science students. Ultimately, the monetary reward tied to this career is enticing. Why not employ my passion to make a living? Being pleased with what you do and enjoying financial stability is promising.

I have extensive knowledge in C and basic grasp of Python and Java. In this dominantly male field, I want to be successful. I don't mind spending my future years, 8 hours a day in front of a monitor, and to quote Dr. Sheldon Cooper of the popular TV show The Big Bang Theory, ".. a career I chose in no small part because it's indoors".
