Hello everyone!
I am in need of a scholarship in order to fund my masters starting this year October. I have already received my acceptance letter but I am still stressed financially. I scored an 8.5 on my IELTS last month and can apply for a scholarship through British council. However I need to write a 500 character personal statement for that. I have written the following but I feel like it's missing the spark. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Here is what it asks: Describe in no more than 500 characters the reason for studying abroad and in what ways you expect your experience will make a difference to your life and to that of those around you.
Here is what I have: A technological hub, London will provide me the opportunities to engage as a student - academically, socially and professionally. The prime benefit for me is that the course teaches how to use technology intelligently and thereby achieve competitive business advantage. Companies are now increasingly on the lookout for trained experts in this field. I have trained in four languages to help create an international profile and studying in London would simply enhance my experience.
